Welcome to Reaching Across Ministries!
Reaching Across Ministries (RAM) is an evangelical, Bible based, inter-denominational Christian ministry based in San Antonio, Texas. It was started in 1999 as informal mission projects were put together by Rick Lay to serve churches in Mexico, primarily in very poor areas along the border. Later, through the vision of a group of men that began to get involved in the projects a 501 c3 non profit religious corporation was organized. Policy decisions for the ministry are made by its board of directors.
The Heart of the Ministry: Fulfilling the great commission to bring the good news of the gospel to the unsaved is the dominant focus of the ministry. Priority is given to helping pastors of small churches under 100 in membership and their congregations Most of these pastors have never been to a Bible school. Some worship in make-shift cardboard type structures and some churches are in areas where electricity and water is not available. RAM also partners with other ministries working in remote areas in order to assist them or gain from their experience.
Geographical Areas of Service: Currently services are provided to churches along the US-Mexican border and the republic of Panama. The ministry in Panama, is among the Wounaan and Embera Indians living in the jungle or in small towns outside the city of Panama.
Our Mission Service Teams: Teams come from various evangelical churches, Christian schools, and Christian camps. Some groups consist specifically of high school or college age individuals while others are made up of adults of all ages.
